Pacific Island Students Fighting Climate Change

Summary
The Li-Costa Foundation is supporting Pacific Island Students Fighting Climate Change (PISFCC) in their effort to seek an advisory opinion from the United Nations International Court of Justice (ICJ) on climate change and human rights.
Our commitment of $25,000 covers essential travel expenses, ensuring that youth from Pacific Island nations—communities deeply affected by rising sea levels—can testify in person at the ICJ.
This initiative also funds outreach within Pacific Island villages, fostering communication and awareness about the existential threat climate change poses to these vulnerable populations.
Details
An initial grant of $10,000 followed by a $15,000 sustained funding commitment through September 2027.
